Los Angeles is that city in the middle of some state named California. It's mostly known for it's population of druggies, hippies, "stars from the solar system" and gangstas^[1], It is ranked only second to Detroit, another popular prison. The city in it's present state is mostly known to be a prison for these people^[2]. We suggest you stay far away, or not, it's your choice anyway.
