Great nebula

In 1977 Arizona astronomers discovered an excess of left-handed amino acids in the Murchison meteorite which fell to earth in Victoria, Australia over 30 years ago. They discovered a high concentration of a rare form of light in the Great Nebula of the Orion constellation. The polarised light destroyed right-handed amino acids, leaving a predominance of left-handed amino acids which are the basis of life on earth.

Ancient civilisations showed strong interest in the Great Nebula, perhaps intuitivey sensing its importance to life on earth.
